My work is rooted in visual connection, flexibility, and storytelling, with a focus on creating meaningful, personal, and queer-centered projects. I believe design is most powerful when it fosters connection—whether through bold narratives, dynamic compositions, or thoughtful branding.

What do you think of us? A Senior Thesis
Skill
Art Direction & Campaign Design
What do you think of us: Volume 1 is a senior thesis publication and campaign exploring the impact of the model minority myth on Asian Americans. Through personal narratives, research, and design, it challenges stereotypes and reclaims identity. This project showcases my creative direction—not only through the publication itself but also through clothing, collaboration, and art that directly contradicts the myth. Volume 1 is deeply personal—a reflection of identity and resistance.

The Ballroom Book
Skill
Layout & Art Direction
The Ballroom 100-page book is an exploration of ballroom culture—its history, resilience, and impact on queer identity and expression. Through a fusion of design, community, photography, and illustration, I honor the artistry, defiance, and community at the heart of the ballroom scene. Designed with a flexible grid and expressive visuals, this book is both an archive and a love letter to a culture that continues to inspire and empower.

Pluto - EP
Skill
Art Direction, Branding & Creative Writing
PLUTO is a self-directed project that blends my personal story with my passion for design, music, and creative direction. It captures my transition from youth to young adulthood through a four-track EP and a fully developed visual identity. I designed the brand to reflect the emotional tone of the music, using this project to explore other avenues like songwriting, music production, and visual storytelling. It’s my baby—a tribute to a younger version of myself and a reflection of the artist I’m growing into.

No-No Beer
Skill
Branding & Collaboration
No-No Beer is a conceptual non-alcoholic beer brand created in collaboration with Orion Cortez and Sophie Wintersgill. Designed to challenge expectations, the brand blends bold visuals, playful yet refined typography, and a modern aesthetic that stands out in the market. From packaging to promotional materials, every element reinforces the idea that saying ‘no’ to alcohol doesn’t mean saying ‘no’ to good design or a great experience.

This Is How I Remember Us: An Archive
Skill
Layout, Typography, & Creative Archiving
This is how I remember us is a love letter / scrapbook / soft scream about me and my mom. It’s messy, honest, and full of things we didn’t always know how to say. This book lives in the in-between — between generations, between cultures, between the versions of ourselves we’ve outgrown and the ones we’re still becoming. It’s love, the kind that waits for you to come home. I wanted to showcase my talents in layout & creative archiving, while also tying in my styles of identity within the project.

COMMA: 2025
Skill
Branding & Art Direction
COMMA is a BIPOC+ student- and faculty-led collective within the Portland State University Graphic Design program, dedicated to creating intentional, inclusive spaces for dialogue, visibility, and creative expression. I’ve been actively involved in COMMA throughout my entire time in PSUGD, and in 2025, I had the opportunity to lead its branding and visual identity across multiple events and initiatives.
As the unofficial-yet-very-official "person doing the COMMA branding," I art directed a wide range of event materials—each with its own unique vibe and purpose—while maintaining a core sense of community and cultural relevance. This role involved everything from typography and layout design to discussions around what representation looks like in visual form. One of the things I admire most about this project is the range: no two designs looked the same, but they were all unmistakably COMMA.
